Regular maintenance is the key to keep your awning looking beautiful. We recommend cleaning your awning at least twice per year. It is not necessary to remove the awning from its frame to clean.

Suggested Cleaning for Sunbrella® fabric:

To Clean:

  • First, hose off the under side of the awning with water from a standard garden hose or sprayer nozzle – This pounds the settled dirt up and away from the fabric. Do NOT use a pressure washer.
  • Next, hose off the exposed side of your awning. The dirt should wash away. If you choose to use soap – use a mild, natural soap and a soft bristle brush if needed. Do not use detergents, abrasives or chemicals.
  • Air dry only. Do not apply heat.

For stains, mold or mildew, we recommend “Simple Green” which is fabric-safe and inexpensive. It is available at most Walmart stores. Additionally, we carry a fabric safe cleaner. Call to inquire.

Suggested Cleaning for interior awnings:

To Clean:

  • Using a hose extension, vacuum off dust, cobwebs and dirt that collects on the fabric surface.
  • Use a soft bristle vacuum brush if necessary
  • Stains can be spot cleaned using a soft cloth and a mild, natural soap. Do not use detergents, abrasives or chemicals.
