Heat Welded Seams
Outlast traditional sewn seams for years! No thread rot because there's no thread!

Heat welding (or "wedge welding") is the latest process used to bond fabrics together. To heat weld Sunbrella and other acrylic (canvas-like) fabrics, a special heat-activated seam tape is used. This tape fuses the traditional over-lap style seam together, creating a bond much stronger than any sewn seam. Most vinyls do not require seam tape. The vinyl fabrics are fused together using only heat. Shade fabrics, clear vinyls and many other types of fabric can be heatwelded using the same process. Some different fabrics can even be heat welded to eachother.

Heat welding allows us to produce a flat, stitch-less seam - guaranteed to last the life of the fabric. It also eliminates thread rot, thread fading, needle holes, and leakage that can happen with traditional sewn seams - all while maintaining the integrity of the fabric.

Awnings of Tulsa has been heat welding both canvas and vinyl fabrics for 5 years!
